Rattlesnake Avoidance Training Clinic for Dogs

Poisonous snakes bite about 15,000 dogs each year. The clinic is conducted in a safe, humane, controlled environment ensuring the safety of dogs, as well as the rattlesnakes. The one-on-one training process is repeated several times to insure that the dog understands the sight, smell and sound of a rattlesnake. (Rattlesnakes have a distinctive odor that dogs can discern from other snakes). Since dogs can forget the smell over a period of time, annual training is recommended. Saturday, September 17, with a session on Sunday, 9/18, if needed. Session times run from 8am to 5pm.  Location Tapia Park, 884 North Las Virgenes Rd, Calabasas, CA 91302. Pre-register online at www.mountainstrust.org or by calling (818) 591-1701 x 0. Fee: $70. Training conducted  by Tracy Presson of High on Kennels.
