Special Needs group selling their products at Farmers Market

Farming Independence, a non profit organization that provides programs teaching job skills to teens and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities will have a booth at the Westlake Farmers Market on Sunday July 29th where the participants from the July 'So Wild' Summer program will be selling the products they have made at the program.

The organization has also partnered with Malibu and Vine Bar & Grill to start producing cookies called MEABLES which will also be available. 'It is our goal to open a bakery that will employ individuals with special needs," says, President, Sheila Mayfield

'Everyone is very excited and hopes the communities in the area will support our vision and determination to create more jobs for those with special needs'. Mayfield said. www.FarmingIndependence.org
