Evacuation Orders Lifted For Calabasas Neighborhood
Residents are being allowed back into some neighborhoods that were evacuated due to the Woolsey fire.

LOS ANGELES, CA — With the Woolsey fire doubling in size in just 24 hours, Hundreds of thousands of people remained under evacuation orders Tuesday.
Evacuation orders are being lifted in some areas while authorities are reminding people to follow evacuation orders that remain in place.
Over the last several days, many residents watched their homes or their neighbors’ homes destroyed by the blaze on TV. Still others are desperate to return home to see what’s left. But police are warning people not to try to make their way back to neighborhoods that remain under evacuation. Deputies are on guard against looters, and the fire danger remains real. Authorities are reminding residents that two people found dead in their car in the burn area likely became lost and disoriented when the flames overtook them.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the following areas affected by the Woolsey Fire will be reopened to businesses and residents Tuesday morning:
- The City of Hidden Hills will be fully reopened, including all residences within the city limits. This includes the area west of Valley Circle Boulevard, east of Crummer Canyon Road, and north of the Interstate 101 Freeway to the northern city limits.
- The City of Calabasas will have limited areas reopened which will include: west of Topanga Canyon Boulevard; northwest of Mulholland Highway; north of Stunt Road, east of Las Virgenes Road; east of the Lost Hills Road neighborhoods (including Lost Springs and Saratoga); and south of the Los Angeles/Ventura county line.
- The City of Westlake Village will have limited areas reopened as follows: city limits on the west, from the intersection of Westlake Boulevard and Sycamore Canyon Drive north to the Ventura County and City of Agoura Hills boundaries.
- The City of Agoura Hills will reopen its impacted areas from: Chesebro Road on the eastern border, and Agoura Road (north and south sides of the road) from Chesebro Road to the west.
NOTE: The communities of Topanga and Malibu continue to remain closed, and evacuation orders are still in place.

"To accomplish this process, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is working with our public safety partners to open on-ramps and off- ramps of the Interstate 101 Freeway in the area," the sheriff's statement says. "The Fire Incident Command continues to monitor the active fire areas, as well as those areas remaining closed due to critical infrastructure concerns or safety hazards."
