Ex-LA Prosecutor Gulped Booze After Rear-Ending Me, Radio DJ Says
Radio host Big Boy was in shock. He approached the driver's car, and says he saw him take a swig of hard alcohol.
CALABASAS, CA – A prosecutor on leave from the Los Angeles County District Attorney Office is expected to appear in court Thursday after an arrest on suspicion of DUI. In the Tuesday afternoon incident, Michael Petterson allegedly rear-ended one of L.A.'s biggest radio hosts Big Boy which led to a bizarre series of events caught on video.
The radio host, whose real name is Kurt Alexander, was in shock after his car was rammed while he and a friend waited at a red light in Calabasas, the video shows. When the DJ approached the car, he couldn't believe what he was seeing. He told ABC7 that the driver was taking a drink from a bottle that he alleges contained vodka.
"As we were sitting here talking to him, he gets his bottle of vodka, and he's just sitting there. Just dazing, just drinking," Big Boy told the news station.

Petterson, of Northridge, has been on a leave of absence since January 1, 2017, TMZ reported. He is also being held on warrants from Ventura County stemming from 2014 DUI charges and allegations of driving on a suspended license from 2016, the Los Angeles Times reports. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges, according to court records.
The radio host believes he and his friend were meant to take the hit, as they were near a school, ABC7 reported.

"He was either going to hit a wall, roll through somebody's home, hit a kid, a family. He was not going to make it to wherever he was going because he was truly, highly intoxicated," he said.
When cops got to the scene, they removed the driver from his BMW. As they were walking towards the police car, Petterson's pants fell down, and then so did he, TMZ caught on video. A bottle of lemon-flavored vodka was seen on the roof of the car in video footage, Los Angeles Times reported.
Big Boy hosts a morning radio show called “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” on Real 92.3 FM.
