Car Hits Hydrant on Calabasas Road

Water erupted from the ground when a Toyota Land Cruiser struck a fire hydrant on Calabasas Road just outside the Courtyard at the Commons on Wednesday, according to the

The non-injury collision was reported at 2:33 p.m., said Lt. David Thompson.

The hydrant was located on the sidewalk right across from the Wells Fargo inside the Courtyard at the Commons shopping center.

Las Virgenes Municipal Water District workers cut off the water flow at 2:53 p.m. The driver was not arrested.
