LA Fire Alerts Officials To Big Indoor Pot Grow
Firefighters were dispatched at 1:36 a.m. to the 21300 block of West Deering Court.
CANOGA PARK, CA -- Firefighters in Canoga Park put out a tree fire Sunday, spotted smoke from a nearby building and discovered a possible marijuana grow operation inside the single-story structure. Firefighters dispatched at 1:36 a.m. to the 21300 block of West Deering Court had both fires out at 3:25 a.m., said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
"Firefighters used vertical ventilation and interior fire attack to locate and extinguish smoke within the building walls and ventilators," said Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department. (The) building reportedly contains a marijuana growth operation. No injuries were reported.
