Little Scientists Show Off Smarts at Bay Laurel Science Fair

Batteries, Alka-Seltzer rockets and other homemade experiments were abound at second annual science fair Thursday evening.

Dozens of students presented their hypothesis on a display board, accompanied by a personally crafted demonstration.

The event was judged, but there was no first place or second place winner. Instead, the real prize was coming up with an answer to a question using science, said Bay Laurel Principal Susan Wachtel.
