Man Seriously Injured in Hit and Run
A motorcyclist suffers eight broken ribs when he is struck by a sport utility vehicle.

A 58-year-old Woodland Hills man who was riding his motorcycle on July 3 was seriously injured when a Toyota sport utility vehicle struck his bike and drove off without stopping.
The felony hit and run occurred around 6:30 a.m. on Mulholland Highway near the entrance of Gelson's Market, said Det. Dave Huelsen.
The victim suffered a neck injury and eight broken ribs and is now recuperating at a rehabilitation center, Huelsen said.

The Toyota is dark colored and its passenger side mirror broke off as a result of the collision, he said. No additional information is available.
Huelsen said there is very little workable evidence at this time.

"We hope somebody will see this and say 'wow, I saw that' and realize we need their help," he said.
