Missing Man Found A Year After Disappearing In Calabasas

CALABASAS, CA - A man who disappeared in Calabasas almost a year ago has been found, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department announced Monday.

Elyas Farzankashani, 65, was reported missing Nov. 29, 2021, and authorities and loved ones were looking for him ever since. The sheriff's department did not say where he was found nor what circumstances led to his disappearance.

Farzankashani was diagnosed with psychosis before his disappearance.

Throughout the year, authorities sent out alerts asking the community for help finding Farzankashani, and his image was circulated in local media and neighborhood posts in an effort to keep the search active.
