Motorcyclist Dies In Santa Monica Mountains Crash

The crash was on Stunt Road, about a mile uphill from Mulholland Highway.

CALABASAS, CA -- A motorcyclist was killed Sunday at a crash with another vehicle on a twisting mountain road above Calabasas. The crash was on Stunt Road, about a mile uphill from Mulholland Highway. It was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 11:03 a.m.

Paramedics and firefighters were dispatched at 11:06 a.m. and did not take anyone to any hospitals, a county fire department dispatcher said.

The motorcyclist may have been a man in his mid to late 20s, according to sources at the scene.

Stunt Road was closed for an hour while the motorcycle was pulled up a steep hillside and loaded onto a tow truck, CHP officers said.

Stunt Road is one of a web of steep mountain roads ascending Saddle Peak, between Malibu and Calabasas, and is frequently used by motorcyclists and sports car enthusiasts on weekends.
