Pedestrian Killed On 101 Freeway Onramp In Calabasas

CALABASAS, CA — A pedestrian was struck and killed by vehicle Monday night while he was walking on a 101 Freeway onramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officers responded to the northbound Valley Circle Boulevard onramp just after 10 p.m. They found the man lying on the ramp. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the CHP.

CBS Los Angeles reported that the man was running across the onramp when he was hit. Aerial footage from the time showed the northbound side of the freeway was snarled with bumper-to-bumper traffic as authorities cleared the scene.
