Person Freed From Car That Flew Off Calabasas Embankment

Firefighters extricated a person trapped in a vehicle that skidded off a Calabasas freeway embankment.

CALABASAS, CA — A person was taken to the hospital after being freed from a car that flew over a Calabasas embankment.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department received a report at 7:24 p.m. that a car had skidded off an embankment at the intersection of the 101 Freeway and Lost Hills Road in Calabasas, according to department spokesperson Leslie Lua.

Crews from L.A. County Fire and the Malibu-Lost Hills Sheriff’s Department were on scene at 7:30 p.m., and were able to extricate the person from the flipped-over car by 7:55. Lua said that the person was transferred to a nearby hospital at 8:07 p.m.
