Portrero Creek Restoration - 12/12/2015
Portrero Creek Restoration Volunteer Event with Mountains Restoration Trust on December 12, 2015 from 9am-12pm.

Join the Mountains Restoration Trust to help plant, weed and water native oaks and other native plants in a new restoration site at Rancho Sierra Vista in Newbury Park. This critical habitat will help the area recover from the devastation of the adjacent Spring Fire and years of ranching in this area. Our goal is to plant 900 natives in the next few weeks- Coast Live Oak, Valley Oak, Western Sycamore, and supporting vegetation in a riparian flood plain, alongside Potrero Creek.
Registration is Required: We have a limited number of spots for volunteers, so please register on our Eventbrite page here.
Great Fun for Kids and Families! Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian.
