Relay for Life Tomorrow
Team members will raise money for the American Cancer Society at the 24-hour walkathon at A.E. Wright Middle School.

Hundreds of people will walk around the clock at A.E. Wright Middle School this weekend to raise money for the fight against cancer as part of the annual Calabasas Relay for Life.
The fundraiser will start Saturday at 9 a.m. and conclude 24 hours later.
About 500 people have already signed up for the walk, said Jennifer Bercy, American Cancer Society Relay for Life Lead Volunteer of L.A. North.

This year, the Calabasas Relay for Life is aiming to raise $90,000 for the American Cancer Society, Bercy said. About $85,000 was raised last year.
The money will benefit four aspects of the society's work: patient services, research, public advocacy and education.

"There are a slew of programs on the road to recovery," Bercy said.
Saturday and Sunday will feature events that visitors are welcome to attend along with relay participants.
At 8 a.m. on Saturday, a Celebrate Ceremony will honor cancer survivors. That night at 9, a Luminaria Ceremonia will feature a walk with candles and bags made in honor of survivors and in memory of lost loved ones.
