Special Valentine's Day Menus, and Sexy Martinis Too

Stumped on where to dine with your loved one on the most romantic day of the year? Check out our local suggestions.

There are many romantic restaurants in and around Calabasas. Here are five of the best spots with Valentine's Day menus, cocktails and more.

Bring on the flaming cheese! According to Tony, there'll be live music, special Valentine's Day-inspired cocktails, belly dancers, a roaring fire and lots of delicious Greek offerings.

Fins will feature a regular dinner menu and a special four-course prix-fixe dinner ($39 per person) for Valentine's Day weekend.  After a cheese board coupled with a glass of champagne, kir royale, or "Dead-Sexy" martini, diners can select from a choice of appetizers and entrees before feasting on either a chocolate fondue with fresh fruit or a delicious crème brûlée.

The Lodge's Valentine's menu will be served up by award-winning chef Adam Horton from Saturday through Monday. Sunday brunch will be available as usual from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Horton and the restaurant's chef de cuisine, Chris Kufek, have collaborated on a tantalizing, four-course dinner with optional wine pairings. The cost is $150 per person (excluding tax and gratuity) plus an additional $70 per person for optional wine pairings served with each course. 

Saddle Peak Lodge’s regular menu of game, seafood and vegetarian creations will be on hiatus during Valentine’s weekend and will resume on Wednesday, when the restaurant opens for dinner at 6 p.m.

Laina McFerrin and company are whipping up three Valentine's Day specials: crab legs with spicy corn mesquite; filet mignon with piccata sauce, sauteed Swiss chard and yellow potatoes; and wild mushroom ravioli in a Belgian dubbel ale sauce. The Creek is accepting reservations through Valentine's weekend.

Riviera will be decorated with assorted pink and red Valentine paraphernalia (last year the staff decked out a statue with racy lingerie). The chefs will also be serving up their regular menu, which includes such delights as bucatini with straccetti of filet mignon with sweet onion, pancetta, tomato and pecorino, and a fresh seafood casserole with fresh fish, clams, mussels, calamari, crab legs, lobster and scallops in a tomato-garlic broth.
