Steve Roseman's City Council Campaign Gaining Momentum
Roseman's campaign for Calabasas City Council stresses common sense leadership & balanced decision-making.

Now that I’m a candidate for Calabasas City Council and I’m out and about in the community, I’d like to take an opportunity to make Calabasas Patch readers aware of my campaign, provide information about why I’m running and, hopefully, earn your vote.
I’m excited and invigorated to run for Calabasas City Council. My campaign themes of common sense solutions and restoring balance are resonating with voters.
By way of background, I moved into the Calabasas community in 2004, and I’m actively involved in community affairs. I served as president of Mont Calabasas Homeowners Association for a number of years and I’m currently the Association’s vice president. I was appointed to serve on the Calabasas Historic Preservation Commission by Mary Sue Maurer. Serving on this Commission allows me to engage directly with Calabasas residents and businesses on a range of cultural, historical, architectural and historic preservation issues within the city. I was voted to serve as the Chair of the Commission earlier this year. I’m also a proud Sierra Club member and an avid environmentalist.

My agenda for the City Council is simple and straightforward. If elected, I will:
• Protect the Santa Monica Mountains beginning with my support of Measure O and advancing policies that preserve the environment now and well into the future
• Scrutinize the onslaught of excessive hotels and other developments to ensure consistency with the Calabasas General Plan

• Continue to support our excellent schools, starting with my support of Measure E and ensuring continued school funding by the City of Calabasas
• Prepare the community to better support our seniors who want to age in place by expanding a senior-friendly accessibility to City infrastructure
I hope you’ll take the opportunity to learn more about me and why I’m running for the Calabasas City Council. Feel free to visit my website at www.voteroseman.com. On the website, there are opportunities to volunteer, to request a yard sign and to make a contribution.
Running for office and serving my community has been a life-long goal. I am incredibly excited and deeply humbled to run for Calabasas City Council. I ask for your support and your vote on November 3rd.
