Tech Firm Ixia to Expand Calabasas Office

The wireless tech firm agrees to a $26 million deal to expand its headquarters in Calabasas.

Calabasas-based Ixia has signed a lease to expand its local offices, according to Loansafe.org.

The tech firm, which provides wireless network tests, agreed to a $26 million, 10-year deal to expand its offices from 83,000 square feet to 110,000 square feet, Loansafe.org reports.

The expansion will take place soon and see Ixia occupy four buildings at Calabasas' Corporate Center, David Binswanger, executive vice president of landlord Lincoln Property Co., told the online publication.

The deal is a welcome turn of events, given the recent layoffs doled out by Amgen Inc. and Countrywide Financial Corp, Loansafe.org reports.

"Obviously the valley has been in really bad shape since it took the one-two Amgen-Countrywide punch,” Binswager said.
