Townhome Fire Extinguished on Las Virgenes

Los Angeles County firefighters put out a blaze Wednesday that was burning at a townhouse unit in the 5600 block of Las Virgenes Road near Saddle Ridge.

The fire was reported at 3:26 p.m., and about 30 firefighters were on scene about 10 minutes later, said Inspector Don Kunitomi. Knockdown at the unit was declared at 4:06 p.m., he said.

No one was in the residence at the time of the fire, Kunitomi said. An investigation is underway.
