Crowd of 'Twilight' Fans Gathers for Midnight Premiere
Beneath a waning moon on a dark night, eager fans line up at the Commons in anticipation of the latest installment in the 'Twilight' movie series.
Bundled in blankets, coats and sweatshirts, a crowd of about 100 Twilight fans gathered at the Commons for a midnight showing of the latest installment in the vampire saga, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1.
The line started forming around 8 p.m. Thursday, said Giovanni Zetino, who was there with a couple of friends. They were all about halfway to the front of the line, which stretched from the Grand Edwards Calabasas Stadium 6 cinema to the sidewalk across from
“I prefer the werewolves,” Zetino said as she talked about the rivalry between werewolves and vampires in the film series.

The Calabasas cinema was one of 3,521 theaters nationwide showcasing the latest chapter in the Twilight series, which grossed $30.3 million from its midnight debut, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The vampire saga revolves around a love triangle involving Bella, a mortal, Edward, a suave immortal, and Jacob, a werewolf known among his fans for his muscular physique.

Depending on which fan was asked, the favorite differed, but the consensus seemed to be that Bella should end up with Edward, and that Jacob has a nice body.
Kelsey Lontz, a student at Pepperdine University, said that although Jacob is a nicer person, she still prefers Edward and Bella together. Natalya Yonathan agreed with Lontz. An El Camino High School student, Yonathan said she favored the vampires over the wolf pack, although she did admit that Jacob has great abs.
The biggest rumor circulating among the crowd was that Bella would be revealing a pregnancy, and many fans were eager to see if this was true.
Whether or not a baby is in Bella’s future—and, if so, whether it will be born with a fuzzy back or with an aversion to sunlight—is a question that can be answered by seeing the movie. Click here to see upcoming show times.
