Calistoga eyes next steps for fairgrounds (napavalleyregister.com) ā Calistoga is rethinking the future of its cityāowned fairgrounds, exploring operators for a nineāhole golf course, speedway, and other upgrades while improving the RV park, utilities, and community buildings. Residents are weighing in on ideas from rodeos to student learning labs, and the Fairgrounds Advisory Committee meets again Sept. 24 at 1435 N. Oak St. to gather more public feedback.

2. Yeley Scores At Calistoga (speedsport.com) ā Racing fans in Calistoga just saw J.J. Yeley capture opening night of the 15th Louie Vermeil Classic at Calistoga Speedway, earning $5,000 plus a hardācharger bonus. The sprint car event at the Calistoga Fairgrounds drew a strong field and kicked off a big weekend of racing excitement for local motorsports followers.

Fairwinds Estate Winery sold, new Calistoga wine club planned (napavalleyregister.com) ā A major Calistoga wine property is changing hands, with Fairwinds Estate Winery on Silverado Trail sold for about $12.8 million and being redeveloped as Calistoga Farms and The Calistoga Club, a private wine club opening in 2027. Backed by investors and managed by FraĆ®che Wine Group, the project aims to create a highāend, locally rooted wine and membership destination.

'We weathered the storm': After years of challenges, this Napa preschool opens new location (pressdemocrat.com) ā Families in northern Napa County may feel the childcare squeeze even more after Hearts and Hands Preschool in Calistoga closed in July for lack of a new site. A new, larger Le Petit Elephant campus in Napa is now open and expanding, but county leaders warn that high costs, limited spaces, and regulatory hurdles still leave many Calistoga and Napa parents struggling for options.
