1 Killed, Several Injured In San Jose Car Crash: Vehicle Allegedly Flees Police
One person was killed and several were injured in a two-vehicle collision in San Jose early Sunday morning.
SAN JOSE, CA — One person was killed and several were injured in a two-vehicle collision in San Jose early Sunday morning.
A tan Buick sedan that was being driven by someone who was allegedly being pursued by Santa Clara police collided with a gray Toyota sedan at about 12:20 a.m. at Naglee and Park avenues, according to the San Jose Police Department.
The Buick was going southbound on Park Avenue when the driver allegedly ran a red light and smashed into the Toyota, which was going northbound on Naglee Avenue.

A woman who was a passenger in the Buick was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The man driving suffered major injuries. He was arrested and taken to a hospital for treatment.

Two women in the Toyota suffered minor injuries and were also treated at a hospital.
The death marks the 21st fatal traffic collision in the city of San Jose in 2026, according to the San Jose Police Department.
