2 Dead, Crime Scenes In Campbell and Los Gatos
A man was found fatally shot at a home in unincorporated Los Gatos Wednesday morning and another died in a crash in Campbell, police say.

CAMPBELL - A man was found fatally shot at a home in unincorporated Los Gatos Wednesday morning and another died in a crash in Campbell following the pursuit of a vehicle believed to be involved in the shooting, a Santa Clara County sheriff's spokesman said.
Deputies responded at about 10:50 a.m. to reports of shots fired on Madrone Drive and arrived to find a man fatally shot in a home there, sheriff's Sgt. James Jensen said.

Two other men were also found injured in the home.
One was treated at the scene and the other was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, Jensen said. He did not know the nature of the injuries.

The victims and witnesses described the suspect vehicle in the shooting as a Toyota Prius and deputies eventually located it in the area of state Highway 17 and Lark Avenue, according to Jensen.
The Prius exited the highway at East Hamilton Avenue and crashed into a wall.
The driver fled on foot but was quickly detained by deputies, Jensen said.
A male passenger in the Prius was found injured and was taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Jensen said.
The identities of the two people who died and the suspect detained after the crash have not yet been released.
East Hamilton Avenue was closed following the crash but fully reopened as of shortly before 3:30 p.m. The case remains under investigation by the sheriff's office.

According to ABC7, police in Los Gatos and Campbell are investigating the incident as a double homicide.
The station says a person of interest was chased from the scene to state Highway 17 in Campbell, where the suspect was taken into custody at the Hamilton exit.
The Hamilton Avenue on and off ramps in Campbell have been reopened, the station reports.

Officers reopened westbound Hamilton Ave about 1:00 p.m. according to another tweet from Campbell police.
The sheriff's incident closed off East Hamilton Avenue between Salmar Avenue and Creekside Way as at 11:30 a.m., police said.
Officers have closed the on- and off-ramps to Highway 17 at Hamilton Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Santa Clara County sheriff's spokesperson didn't immediately provide more details on the incident.
