SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA -- Eyeing a book on Amazon but don't want to wait for it to be delivered? You can soon stop by Amazon Books to immediately browse and purchase items on your reading list. The brick-and-mortar bookstore described as a physical extension of Amazon.com will officially open tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 24, at 333 Santana Row, Suite 1120.
A grand opening event was set for 10 a.m.
Amazon said the 3,500 books for sale at the store will be presented "face-out, so they can communicate their own essence." The company says the books have also received 1.8 million five-star reviews from
Amazon.com customers.

It is the second Amazon Books store in California, the other currently in San Diego. The company plans to open two more this year, one regionally in Walnut Creek and another in Los Angeles.
