SAN JOSE, CA — Two men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a business in San Jose and a separate robbery in Morgan Hill, police said.

Officers responded at about 11:33 p.m. April 21 to a reported armed robbery in the 4200 block of Senter Road, according to the San Jose Police Department.

Investigators said two men entered the business, allegedly pointed firearms at an employee, and demanded money. The employee handed over cash from a register out of fear for his life.

The suspects also reportedly took a second cash register before fleeing the scene, SJPD said.

Detectives later identified the suspects as Jose Sanchez-Gonzalez, 21, of Gilroy, and Javier Larios, 23, a Dos Palos resident.

Authorities said the pair also were linked to another armed robbery in Morgan Hill about an hour earlier the same night. During searches tied to the investigation, detectives seized large amounts of cash, a firearm with an extended magazine and other evidence, police said.

Larios was arrested April 22 in Gilroy by the Gilroy Police Department. Meanwhile, Sanchez-Gonzalez was arrested Tuesday in Gilroy with assistance from the San Jose police Covert Response Unit.

Both were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicions of robbery.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Detective Ortega of the San Jose Police Department Robbery Unit at 408-277-4166 or by email at 4834@sanjoseca.gov.
