SAN JOSE, CA — The bodies of a man and a woman were discovered Saturday afternoon inside a car in a parking garage at San Jose State University, campus police said.
The two were found unresponsive just after 2 p.m. in the West Garage on the corner of South Fourth and East San Salvador streets, university police Capt. Jermaine Thomas said.
Campus officers gave aid, but the victims were pronounced dead by San Jose firefighters.
The vehicle was parked in the five-story garage sometime Saturday. The two occupants had been noticed earlier in the day but had been assumed to be sleeping, Thomas said.
It was only when they had not moved for several hours that authorities were notified, he said.
Neither person was a student nor a faculty member at the university, Thomas said.
Spring semester classes at SJSU ended Tuesday and Saturday was the final day of commencement ceremonies, he said.
