SAN JOSE, CA — Three people were shot in downtown San Jose early Sunday morning, according to the San Jose Police Department.
The shooting was reported at about 2:20 a.m. near South First Street and East Reed Street, police said on social media.
Three victims at the scene were each found with at least one gunshot wound.
Traffic was restricted in both directions on South First Street from Pierce Avenue to state Highway 280.
Traffic was also blocked on East Reed Street from South First Street to South Third Street as police investigated the scene on Sunday.
Drivers were still being asked on Sunday afternoon to avoid the area.
