Campbell hires 2 firms to Campaign against "Measure B"

CAMPBELL - On January 17th, Council unanimously voted to hire 2 political firms to help the city campaign against pro-medical marijuana initiative “Measure B”.
The city has submitted their own “Measure C”, which would keep medical marijuana banned until at least 2019, and possibly longer.
The 2 firms: TBWB Strategies (http://www.tbwb.com), and Godbe Research, will cost local taxpayers at least $45,000 at $400/hr.

TBWB Strategies has been responsible for propaganda articles seen in The Campbell Express, as well as being in charge of campaign mail-out fliers.
Attorneys for Keep Campbell Green have filed a complaint against the city with the Fair Political Practices Commission(FPPC). ----ID#: COM-02222017-00182.

Jennifer Schneider of KCG believes that:
“after speaking with state representatives from Sacramento, we can safely conclude that Campbell officials have been violating a number of campaign laws, including the use of public funds to campaign against a competing measure”.
Despite the city’s opposition to Measure B, Jennifer Schneider of KCG is confident. “Our polling data shows an 82% support among residents. The majority of Campbell citizens are sensible and support the safe and legal access to medical marijuana.
Keep Campbell Green urges voters to not be fooled by misleading mailers headed their way.
