Soap Suds Ate My Kitchen

My lovely daughter was just trying to be helpful. She thought we were out of Cascade. She didn't know there was another jug out in the garage. She thought that Palmolive would work just as well.  

Parents, don't let your children reach the age of 19 without teaching them the difference between soap and detergent. Don't take for granted that they'll learn this in school. Don't assume they'll get accurate information from their friends. Knowledge is power. Teach your children.

It sure makes a mess. But not an insurmountable mess. Thanks to the Internet, I learned today that salt and vinegar will not only make your potato chips taste good, but will help get rid of the soap suds in your dishwasher, after scooping the excess out, of course.  

And so my daughter may live to load the dishwasher another day.
