Cooking with kids can be fun, educational, and challenging! So start off with something easy!
I got all the ingredients and tools and laid them out first so she could see them. Then she helped me measure and pour and stir. While I assisted her, I let her do a lot of it herself. It's not like we were baking for a bake sale! It was just us and it was a way to start teaching her the ropes in the kitchen!
While my son is still too young to help out, he did putter around the kitchen watching us and I gave him a little bowl of flour and some spoons and he had a blast!
