Campbell House Catches Fire
Twenty-seven Santa Clara County firefighters responded to the blaze Thursday morning that left a Campbell resident injured and displaced.
CAMPBELL, CA ā A fire broke out inside a Campbell home Thursday morning, damaging about half of the home's interior, according to an official with the Santa Clara County Fire Department. The structure fire in the 1400 block of McBain Avenue ā off N. Leigh Avenue ā was reported at 7:17 a.m., SCCFD Spokeswoman Luisa Rapport said.
"Upon arrival, fire crews reported smoke and flames showing from a two-story home," Rapport said. "Approximately 50 percent of the interior of the residence was involved in fire."
Twenty-seven firefighters responded to the scene. Personnel from the Campbell Police Department and Santa Clara County Emergency Medical Services were also on hand.

According to Rapport, one person was home when the fire broke out and was treated for minor smoke-related injuries.
By 7:46 a.m., crews had the blaze knocked down.

The injured resident was also displaced from the home because of the fire- and smoke-related damages.
"[The] cause of the fire remains under investigation, but is not considered suspicious," Rapport said.
