Campbell Nonprofit Needs Your Vote to Win $25K

The Grateful Garment Project is currently in the running to “Win 25K For Your Cause (www.win25Kforyourcause.com),” a campaign launched by Turbana, one of the largest produce providers in the United States.

The campaign is an interactive contest housed entirely within the Turbana Facebook page that is driven by individual votes and shares from July 1st to August 12th.

Participants are asked to “tally” themselves into Turbana’s ongoing “Growing Smiles, Sharing Goodness” movement, which is focused on empowering individuals to do good for their communities. They can then either nominate a cause of their choice, or vote for a cause that has already been nominated.

The Grateful Garment Project is based in Campbell and they are the only organization in California providing the services that they do. Their mission is to assist in the process of returning dignity to victims of sexual violence. One way that they are doing this is by providing clothing for people who are returning home from the hospital after having a rape kit done.
