San Jose CA – The Chinese American Coalition for Compassionate Care (CACCC) is proud to host the premiere screening and panel discussion of Kathy & Windy, a true story of love and faith – a 45-minute documentary chronicling a mother and daughter’s respective journey as they face end-of-life issues, grief and loss on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm at the Mountain View Senior Center located at 266 Escuela Avenue in Mountain View CA 94040. This free program, targeted to the Chinese American community, will be conducted in English/Chinese with simultaneous English/Chinese interpretations. Healthcare professionals, volunteers, caregivers and the general public are encouraged to attend. Please RSVP by June 2: http://kw2016611.eventbrite.com or email info@caccc-usa.org.
The film poignantly showcases how Kathy, in the last year of her life, is able to come to terms with her impeding death and how her daughter Windy deals with death and dying as she faces her mother’s imminent death, as well as how she deals with the grief and loss of her 1-year old son.
Moreover, the film explores how Windy copes with the grief brought on by the loss of her mother and son and how she has courageously moved on and learned to live her life to the fullest every day – is truly insightful, uplifting and inspirational.
