Chinese American Coalition for Compassionate Care Names Shirley Pan as Executive Director

CACCC names Shirley Pan as executive director

San Jose CA – October 31, 2016 – The Chinese American Coalition for Compassionate Care, (CACCC), a nationally recognized, nonprofit, end-of-life educator and leader on palliative care, hospice care, and advance care planning for the Chinese American community and the healthcare professionals who serve them, has named Ms. Shirley Pan as executive director. Ms. Pan’s expertise, strong organizational and communications skills and strength in leading corporate transformation projects to improve service and processes in the semi-conductor industry, combined with her adeptness in coordinating multiple projects, will lead the organization’s dynamic and highly valued resources, assets and infrastructure in support of its mission and strategic initiatives.

Prior to joining CACCC, Ms. Pan was a volunteer ambassador with CACCC and previously to that a corporate communications manager and a field operations manager with Applied Materials.

Reporting to the board of directors, Ms. Pan will have full responsibility for the overall operations of the organization which includes oversight of CACCC’s operating budget and managing expenditures, as well as personnel management, educational programs and services to the Chinese American community and to
healthcare professionals, establish, implement, and evaluate programs and services to enhance end-of-life care for Chinese Americans. Additionally, to grow the resources and materials library, oversee the Chinese and English communications and media efforts, maintain relations with current partner organizations, as well as develop new partner organization relations.

“We are extremely pleased and confident of Shirley’s leadership to move CACCC forward,” said CACCC founder and board president Sandy Chen Stokes. “Her strong business acumen, corporate communications, and extensive experience in project management, along with her personal commitment to our mission will serve the organization well.”

Ms. Pan received her BA degree in Education from the National Chengchi University in Taiwan. She is based in CACCC’s Southern California office located at 9440 Telstar Avenue, #6, El Monte CA 91731.
