The Leigh High varsity football team begins life without longtime head coach Shaun Thomas this Friday against nearby foe, Del Mar High.
Leigh and Del Mar will tussle at 7 p.m. Friday night at Del Mar High in San Jose.
Thomas left his post as athletic director and head football coach at Leigh in the spring and is now a defensive assistant at Westmont High in Campbell.
