Fire Erupts At Campbell Restaurant

CAMPBELL, CA -- =Firefighters on Sunday responded to a structure fire at a restaurant in Campbell. The Santa Clara County Fire Department responded at 4:29 p.m. Sunday to the Goodies Good Eats at 2201 S. Bascom Ave. on a report of a structure fire.

Responding crews found smoke and fire inside the restaurant. The fire and smoke were extending through the roof of the structure, according to the fire department.

Crews were able to bring the fire under control at around 5 p.m.

The restaurant was not occupied at the time of the fire, and there were no reported injuries.

The building sustained fire damage throughout the kitchen area and to a section of the roof. There was smoke damage throughout the building.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
