Man Arrested In Connection With Strong-Arm Robberies In Campbell, San Jose

The 30-year-old allegedly robbed Chevron stations in July and August.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA – A San Jose man was arrested Friday on suspicion of committing two strong-arm robberies at South Bay gas stations in the last month, according to the Campbell Police Department.

Reese Stanley, 30, was taken into custody by police officers from Campbell and San Jose.

He allegedly robbed a Chevron station at 1589 S. Bascom Ave. in Campbell at 11:18 a.m. on Aug. 9.

Police said Stanley ran behind the counter, pushed the cashier out of the way and took money from the register before fleeing on foot.

Stanley also allegedly robbed a Chevron at 2252 Lincoln Ave. in San Jose in a similar fashion on July 25.

Investigators came to believe that the two crimes were committed by the same individual due to similarities in how the robberies were carried out, and parole officers helped identify Stanley as a suspect.
