New Leaf Community Markets thanks customers for donating $17,336 to food banks!

Thanks to the generosity of our customers, who donated at cash registers at New Leaf stores in November and December, we were able to raise a total of $17,336 for area food banks. This translates to 69,343 meals for families in need.

$3,665 was donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, who can now provide an additional 14,660 meals.

Kathy Jackson, CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, said, “We are grateful to New Leaf Markets and their customers for nearly $4,000 and 249 pounds of food that they raised for Second Harvest’s Food Drive this year. Your generous contributions are critical to the fight against hunger and mean so much to so many in our community.”
