Reservations Underway For Campbell's Ainsley House Holiday Festivities

Teas, tours, meet-and-greets and photos with Santa -- these events sell out quickly!

CAMPBELL, CA – The holidays will be coming to the historical Ainsley House in Campbell November through December 2016. This year’s theme is inspired by such classic holiday songs as Deck the Halls, Jingle Bells, and more.

Enjoy a holiday tea and tour, take a photo with Santa, shop the holiday boutique or simply come to enjoy the seasonal decorations on display in each room of the House!

Docent-led tours of the Ainsley House and its festive holiday decorations are offered noon – 4 p.m. Thursday – Sunday, Nov. 17 to Dec. 18.

Tour admission is $10, seniors $8, youth age 7-17 $6; museum members are free.

Holiday tours feature the Ainsley House decorated for the Holidays inspired by classic holiday songs. The Holiday Boutique, located inside the Ainsley House, as well as the Carriage House, will be offering seasonal gifts, ornaments, jewelry, scarves, plus more. The Boutique will be open during touring hours.

Photos with Santa on Saturday, Nov. 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. -- children and their families will have the chance to meet Santa Claus in person.

Santa will be seated in living room of the Ainsley House decorated as the perfect backdrop for holiday photos and cards. Guests must bring their own camera to photograph their children with Santa.

Admission is $10 per family, $5 per family for museum members. In addition to visiting with Santa, there will be crafts and activities for families to enjoy.

The Museum Foundation’s annual Holiday fundraiser: Holiday Teas and Tours will take place Dec. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13. Seating will be offered at 12 noon.

Teas include finger sandwiches, champagne, a special Ainsley blend tea, and tasty treats in the Carriage House, followed by a docent led tour of the Ainsley House. This year’s Holiday Tea and Tours will be more elegant and organized than ever!

Admission is $45 for museum members and $50 for general public. Admission proceeds go toward supporting education programs and exhibits at the Campbell Historical Museum and Ainsley House and 75 percent of tea admissions is tax deductible.

Two evening Open House events at the Ainsley House offer the public an opportunity to enjoy the holiday decorations at night, with live music in the Ainsley living room and light refreshments in the Carriage House.

The Open House events take place 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.on Thursday, Dec. 15 and Sunday, Dec. 18. Admission is $15, $10 for Museum members; children under 10 years old are free. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Ainsley House or the Campbell Historical Museum office beginning Nov. 17 or on-site the evening of the program.

The mission of the Campbell Historical Museum & Ainsley House is to interpret the history of the Campbell area from its pioneer beginnings through today, and to relate that history within the broader context of the Santa Clara Valley and encompassing region.
