San Jose Harvest Festival® Fosters a Creative Culture for Hundreds of Independent Artisans

West Coast's Largest Indoor Art and Craft Show Kicks Off Black Friday with Thousands of Handmade Arts and Crafts

In the overcrowded world of online shopping, many independent artists often get lost and struggle to get their products in front of interested consumers. The San Jose Harvest Festival, happening November 24-26 at the San Jose Convention Center, helps these entrepreneurs by providing them the opportunity to engage with thousands of potential buyers, but with a face-to-face interaction.

“We’ve heard from so many of our attendees that there is a feeling of being disconnected when it comes to online shopping,” said show owner Nancy Glenn. “What sets our show apart is that people can actually touch, taste and feel the products they are purchasing. They can speak with the artists directly and understand the quality craftsmanship that goes into each item.”

The San Jose Harvest Festival, known as the West Coast’s largest indoor arts and crafts show, opens on Black Friday and is the antithesis to the mall madness and big box store stampedes that are often associated with the largest shopping day of the year. In fact, the show is encouraging shoppers not to visit malls or chain stores by offering free admission to the first 100 people in line on Black Friday.

The Harvest Festival offers more than 24,000 items which are all handmade and embellished in the USA. Guests can browse from original art, photography, jewelry, clothing, specialty foods, toys, home décor and much more. The event pairs shopping with exciting live music and entertainment throughout the weekend.

On the main stage, comedian John Park will present his “Funny Waiter” show and Le Jazz Hot will showcase its unique brand of gypsy jazz music. There will also be strolling performers such as Mama Claus and Eddie the Elf, Fables of the West, and stilt walker WC Willy all wandering the festival and entertaining attendees as they shop.

The San Jose Harvest Festival is proud to welcome back its longtime community partner, Humane Society Silicon Valley. The non-profit animal welfare organization will receive half of the proceeds from shopping bag sales and all of the proceeds from the bag and parcel check, as well as a direct donation from the show.
