If you don't mind leaving the 408 once in a while there is a reason to drive this evening. New Wave of British Heavy Metal founders Saxon are appearing at The DNA Lounge tonight. Yes, front man Biff Byford looks like that guy from the Megadeth album covers, but man can he belt it out. But the real appeal of Saxon is those great power chord riffs. Two years ago Saxon took hold of the Avalon and rocked is such a way it was startling. Hard to believe after 35 years of semi obscurity they would be this good live.
WWE Superstar Chris Jericho and his band Fozzy open the show, so I don't recommend stage diving.
