Sheriff's Arrests: $1 Million Bail in Counterfeit Case
A look at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's arrests and booking reports for Aug. 19-22, 2012. The following arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Vehicle Code Violations
- Bruce Nardone, 34, of Sunnyvale, Aug. 19, 9:32 a.m., at Homestead and Bernador in Cupertino, for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked and failure to display license plates.
- Phillip Graves, 21, of Campbell, Aug. 16, 12:45 p.m., at Wolfe and Vallco in Cupertino, for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked, driving with a suspended license and driving without due caution.
- Theodore Brennan, 34, of Gilroy, Aug. 18, 12:50 p.m., at Saratoga and Lawrence in Saratoga, for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
- Edward Piggins, 27, of San Jose, May 30, 1:22 p.m., at Prospect and Titus roads in Saratoga, for not wearing seat belt, failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility of vehicle, driving with a suspended license and driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
- James Migues, 24, of Aptos, Aug. 19, 9:50 p.m., at Summit and Old Santa Cruz Highway in Los Gatos, for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked and not having the required lighting equipment.
- David Ledesma, 36, of Castroville, Aug. 22, 3:30 p.m., at 9400 No Name Uno and Cohansey in Gilroy, for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
- Justin Galan, 21, of Campbell, Aug. 18, 9:45 p.m., at McCoy and Villanova in Saratoga, for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked and infractions for not having lighting equipment of required type and expired registration.
Possession
- Stephanie Alexander, 31, of San Jose, May 21, at Wolf and Highway 280, for felony transfer probation from another county jail, misdemeanor using/being under the influence of a controlled substance, narcotics registrant, possession of a concentrated substance, possession of narcotics paraphernalia, false name to peace officer, petty theft and possession of controlled substance.
- Samantha River, 32, of Gilroy, Aug. 22, 9:30 a.m. at the Santa Clara County Courthouse in San Jose at 115 Terraine in San Jose, for felony possession of a controlled substance.
- Ruben Mendoza, 48, of Gilroy, Aug. 22, 9:45 a.m., at the South County Courthouse in Morgan Hill, for possession of a controlled substance. Bail set at $75,000.
- Duanne Chavez, 34, of San Jose, Aug. 22, 4 p.m., at the Santa Clara County Courthouse at 115 Terraine in San Jose, for misdemeanor using/being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail set at $5,000.
- Maria Acosta, 30, no place of residence given, Aug. 22, 7:50 p.m., at Mt. Madonna and Summit in Gilroy, for misdemeanor unlawful possession of paraphernalia and using/being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail set at $6,000.

- Julissa Gil, 37, of Milpitas, Aug. 22, 1:50 p.m., at the San Jose Hall of Justice, 190 W. Hedding St. in San Jose, for felony obtaining money by false pretences, procuring/offering false/forged instrument, counterfeiting or forging the seal, and counterfeiting or forging the seal or handwriting of another to commit the crime of forgery and identity theft. Bail set at $1 million.
Child Endangerment
- Sonny Lopez, 31, of Santa Cruz, Aug. 22, 4 p.m., at the South County Courthouse in Morgan Hill, for misdemeanor child endangerment involving unjust pain/suffering and battery against spouse, cohabitant or fiance.
DUI

Battery
- David Seaborne, 55, of San Martin, Aug. 22, 4:35 a.m., at the South County Courthouse in Morgan Hill, for battery against spouse, cohabitant or fiance.
Petty Theft
- Prashanth Kurabalana, 29, of Santa Clara, Aug. 21, 6:50 p.m., at 20955 Stevens Creek Blvd. in Cupertino, for misdemeanor petty theft of personal property.
