The SpongeBob Musical is based on the beloved animated series created by Stephen Hillenburg and features original songs by Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alexander Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Flaming Lips, Lady A, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s, They Might Be Giants, T.I., with additional songs by David Bowie, Tom Kenny and Andy Paley

Important stuff about auditions:
- Auditions will be on Saturday, April 30, at 9am and Monday, May 2, at 7pm at the Historic Hoover Theatre, 1635 Park Avenue, San Jose. Please plan to attend only one session.
- Children must have completed (or almost completed) kindergarten to audition.
- Your audition will consist of singing a song (your choice, unaccompanied—kind of like auditioning for American Idol), performing a cold reading with other auditioners, and learning one of the dance numbers from the show.
- Kids' tuition: $150 tuition fee for all participants under the age of 18.
- Adult Child Safety Fee: $25 for everyone age 18 and up including non-performing volunteers.
- Current Santa Clara County COVID-19 protocols will be observed during auditions, rehearsals, and performances.
