When you are searching for bed bugs in your home, don't forget to check behind/underneath the headboard.
Those sneaky little buggars can be found almost anywhere, but they will usually want to hide as close to the source of their food (that's you) as they can, so look for them in/near nooks and crannys and crevices near furniture where you spend alot of time, especially at night.
