Who's The Lucky Duck? $500K Winning -- But Unclaimed -- Lotto Ticket Sold At Area Liquor Store

SOUTH BAY, CA – A half million-dollar winning lottery ticket in Tuesday night's Fantasy 5 game was sold at a San Jose liquor store, lottery officials said.

Union Avenue Liquors at 3649 Union Ave. sold the ticket, which matched all five numbers of 11, 13, 38, 8, and 31. The ticket had not been claimed as of this morning.

The ticket is worth $499,040 before federal taxes are taken out, according to lottery officials.

Lottery officials encourage the winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until claiming the prize at any of the nine Lottery District offices statewide.

Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
