YIBI 2020 US-Korea Conference on Youth Entrepreneurship

YIBI News

On January 12th, 2020, two international youth business teams bonded together through their shared ardor for entrepreneurship in San Ramon, CA. The Youth International Business Initiative, or YIBI, students amalgamated with chosen Korean teens for one day at Launching Pad, where the international meeting proved extremely beneficial towards both parties. This is the second time the two parties have collaborated, the first in December 1st, 2018.

Both business teams were hoping to learn from each other and gain some interesting experiences. Many YIBI members represented their team in presenting their companies and ideas to the Korean students, who also did the same. The Korean students had impressive product designs and prototypes, while YIBI students had strong financial plans and information. The YIBI students were inspired and amazed with the Korean students’ innovative prototypes and technological prowess. Throughout the presentations, their hard work was showcased and learned from. Afterward, the two parties bonded with each other by learning about each other’s products, culture, and interests.

Through this exchange experience, the YIBI students gained much insight on the Korean students' startup companies, and vice versa. Their shared interests in entrepreneurship fostered appreciation for each other, and both the YIBI and Korean students were able to learn more about business while making new friends. It is a great opportunity for students in the US to exchange the ideas and perspectives with international students.
