ā¢ Capitola City Manager Jamie Goldstein to retire (santacruzsentinel.com) ā Capitola's longtime city manager Jamie Goldstein will retire in December after steering the city through major storms, COVID-19, and big projects like the new Capitola Branch Library and Capitola Wharf repairs. His departure leaves big decisions ahead on City Hall, the police station site, and long-delayed Capitola Mall redevelopment, all of which will shape local services and finances.

ā¢ New Marathon Joins Santa Cruz Community, Nears Sell-Out Weeks Ahead of Event (endurancesportswire.com) ā A new Santa Cruz Marathon this October will send runners along the coast through Capitola Village, giving locals a front-row view of a major new endurance event. The full marathon and 5K are already sold out, but limited half-marathon spots remain as organizers promise a scenic route past beaches, surf breaks, and landmarks from Capitola to Wilder Ranch.
