Blog: The Gift of Childhood

Hi everyone, happy August!

For those who may not know, I am a Reiki Master, chatting about Reiki, the Universe, the Archangels, and our children. For those who may not be familiar
with Reiki, it is an ancient form of hands-on healing. However, this is not a
massage. Some of the healing benefits range from stress reduction all the way
to the relieving of chemical dependencies. Reiki has also been noted to help
people reduce the negative effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

So, let’s get back to talking about those amazing kids! Children are truly a gift of
heavenly healings. Not only do they make you laugh, which raises our personal
vibration, they help us to reunite with our inner child. Watch your child and
observe the amazement in every aspect of their day. It could be in painting, or
picking up their toys or even finding the joy in just sharpening a crayon.  When you see their eyes light up with excitement, allow yourself to remember that same excitement within yourself.

Remember the smell of mom’s freshly baked chocolate cake? The challenge of your newest puzzle? Or playing with of your first pet? This is the excitement your children experience every day! As you join the excitement, you will find that you become happier and more relaxed. You are then able to share in your child’s life experiences, at an entirely new level. Children are open to life’s miracles and sit in awe of them every day. When you are not focused on a job, or paying bills this is an easy thing to master. So why not allow our children to teach us, as they are Masters of Play?

Children learn at such a fast pace, there are multiple “firsts” for them every day. They can easily teach us and each other their newest findings. Take some time every day with your child and allow them to remind you of the little things. Allow them to teach you about the slice of heaven that is childhood. Once you begin to see life’s simplest blessing, you will begin to notice all blessings.

Sing, dance, draw a picture or play a game of hide and seek and find your inner-child.
