One man lost his home on Wednesday after falling asleep with food in the broiler.

One man was left displaced from his home Wednesday after a fire destroyed his 30th Avenue trailer.
He fell asleep after putting food in the broiler, Central Fire spokesman Mike DeMars told Capitola-Soquel Patch.
Just after 6 p.m., the fire was reported to be engulfing the trailer. It took Central Fire 20 minutes to put out the six-foot flames, but according to the Santa Cruz Sentinel, the trailer still sustained $100,000 to $150,000 in damages.
