Capitola Book Cafe, NBA Playoffs or Dancing with the Stars?

We've got a few options tonight of things to check out in town and at home. With layered times, you might be able to catch two of the three before the day is up.

Capitola Book Cafe, 7:30 p.m.: The is known for bringing in exceptional speakers to give talks on their work. Tonight, mystery writer Joyce Oroz will present her new book Secure the Ranch, and Novelist Tom Mahoney will speak on Imperfect Solitude, the story of a man juggling work, love and corporate greed.

NBA Playoffs, 4 and 6:30 p.m., TNT: The Grizzlies and Thunder play Game 5 tonight as do Boston and Miami. Game 5 of the Lakers-Mavericks series would have been tomorrow, had the Mavs not taken out the two-time defending champs in four games yesterday. Awesome.

Dancing with the Stars, 8 p.m., ABC: Guilty pleasure time. Season 12 of DWTS is down to its final five competitors, including my personal favorite, Kirstie Alley. Special props to Romeo (son of Master P) for getting down to "My Heart Will Go On" two weeks ago.

Editor's Choice: I have to go with the Bulls and Hawks at 5 p.m., and maybe I'll catch those dancing d-listers later. Mostly I'll just be celebrating the Lakers vacating my TV screen until October.
