Capitola's James Sclar Takes on NBC's 'American Ninja Warrior'

The former Marine got his 15 minutes of fame Tuesday night.

Nearly 5 million people tuned into NBC last night for the network's extreme obstacle course show "American Ninja Warrior."

And all those viewers were treated to a piece of Capitola in the form of James Sclar, the local man who competed for the big prize.

Despite failing to finish the nearly-impossible course, Sclar, a former Marine, was still in the running for much of the episode, until his time was beat by a competitor.
